About the role  

As External Assessor, you will be required to assess and document learner competence against qualification standards, using the stated assessment methods. 

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to: 

  • Assessing and documenting learner competence at centres or remotely 

Applicants must meet the essential criteria:  

  • Hold or be willing to work towards Assessor qualification (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA units) 

  • Live in Wales or have good transport connections to Wales 

  • The ability to speak, read and understand written Welsh is desirable. 

  • Must cover 8040-10 Level 5 

  • Must be willing to travel to complete L5 Assessments, minimum availability 1 day per week 

The Role Profile defines the responsibilities and expectations of an External Quality Assurer (EQA).
