Land based: ALMP/ACM Core Exam paper 1- T Level Marker

We are looking for Marking Examiners to join us in the delivery of the Summer 2026 exam series for core exam Common Paper 1.
This Associate role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and to continue to develop your own skills.
About the role
As an Examiner you’ll be expected to carry out timely marking, by applying accurate and consistent marks on candidate evidence, in line with the agreed application of the marking grid and tolerances set at standardisation and feedback from Senior Examiner sampling.
Core Paper 1 is one of the exam papers that assess the common core content. It is a two-hour exam with a maximum of 80 marks available. This paper is a great introduction to marking for those that have not been a marking examiner previously.
The Role Profile defines the responsibilities and expectations of the Examiner role. The common core covers the building blocks of knowledge and skills that give learners a broad understanding of the industry and job roles across all pathways in Agriculture, Land Management and Production (ALMP) and Animal Care and Management (ACM). At the same time, it develops the core skills they will need to apply when working within industry. This exam is common to all core pathways:
- Agriculture, Land Management and Production (ALMP)
- Crop, Horticulture, and Trees
- Livestock
- Land-based Engineering
- Floristry core Animal Care and Management (ACM)
- Animal Management
- Animal Science

Key timelines:
Examiners must be available for the below schedule to be considered for the Summer 2026 marking series:
Training: 15th May or 1st June - 1/2 day (remote) This will be a workshop session for markers with the Principal Examiner.
There will also be online training available to self-serve. A preparation activity (approx. 2 hours) will be given to be completed ahead of training.
Standardisation: 11th June 2026 -1 day (remote) .
A preparation activity will be given to be completed ahead of the standardisation meeting (approx. 2 hours) Attending Standardisation and completing related activities is compulsory for this role
Marking window: Mid-June to early July
All Marking Examiners must attend marker training, as well as a standardisation meeting (typically 1-day remote). Quick turnaround periods apply during marking. A Marker report will be required to summarise trends observed during the marking activity.
