Assignment Writing Examiner OTQ Engineering - Production and Manufacturing

Are you a qualified and experienced Engineer, with knowledge of production and manufacturing and experience in delivering assessments?  

Would you like to be involved development of assessment materials and learn how to write & edit task based assignments?  

We are looking for competent industry experts who have good written and verbal communication skills to write and/or edit questions for the New City & Guilds Level 2 Extended Technical Occupational Entry in Engineering (Diploma) (2145).   

This examiner role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, build additional income with competitive rates, and to continue to develop your own skills and development. You will be trained in how to write & edit and work alongside City & Guilds assessment experts and other industry experts as part of the assessment production process.

We are looking for writing/editing examiners to support in the development of the assessments for City & Guilds brand new Technical Occupational Entry (OTQ) in Engineering, specifically the production pathway.   

The writer will be responsible for writing the assessment component covering Production Engineering covering a range of topics including: 

  • Underpinning knowledge of manufacturing principles, operations and applications 

  • Underpinning knowledge of and skills to manufacture products both manually and with CAD and CNC software 

Specifically; 

  • Prototype planning 

  • Manufacturer prototype 

  • CAD/CAM file for volume production
